Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Weathercast app (also “Wettercast”) and the website weathercast.uk, provided by Redcliff (“we”, “us”). By using Weathercast you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. The service
Weathercast shows weather forecasts, air-quality information, weather warnings, maps and local news gathered from third-party sources. The app is free to use. We may change, add or remove features at any time.
2. Weather and safety information
Forecasts, air-quality readings and warnings can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Weathercast is for general information only. Do not rely on it for decisions where safety, health or property is at risk. In an emergency, follow the instructions of your national weather service, local authorities and emergency services.
Health advice shown with air-quality readings is general guidance, not medical advice.
3. Third-party content
Weather data, maps and news come from providers such as WeatherAPI.com, OpenWeatherMap, Mapbox, national weather services and news publishers. We don't control that content and aren't responsible for it. Links to news articles take you to the publisher's own website, where their terms apply.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse Weathercast: for example, don't attempt to disrupt or overload our servers, scrape or resell data from the app or its API, reverse-engineer the service beyond what the law allows, or use it to break the law.
5. Intellectual property
The Weathercast name, logo, app design and code belong to Redcliff. Third-party content belongs to its owners. These terms don't give you any rights to them except to use the app as intended.
6. Disclaimer
Weathercast is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Redcliff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from reliance on information shown in Weathercast. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer in the EU or UK you keep your statutory rights.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; we'll post changes here and update the effective date. You can stop using Weathercast at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Redcliff is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts.
